Point-on-Wave Closing Method to Reduce Transformer Inrush Current Used at Southern Peru Copper Corporation

This paper presents the state of the previous implementation of POW-controlled closing for a paralleled group of power transformers. Then it discusses the recommissioning of POW closing by analyzing 1 MHz records and applying timing values to a POW control device.
